IMHO I prefer Doublelist to the now defunct CL personal ads.
They make you register and do a text verification before you can even view the personal ads. To me it definitely cuts down on the fakes and spam.
I have had 4 successful encounters from doublelist.

A bunch of flakes also. If you cancel they have a ridiculous policy of having to have a new email address if you want to reopen.
